In keeping with his Italian heritage, he loves seafood pasta and amatriciana, but he’s also partial to Japanese cuisine. His music of choice is electronic, and his favorite DJ is Tiesto.

Bio

Alessandro joined Longview Innovation in 2022 and is part of the team that drives investments in early-stage physical science technologies and manages our existing portfolio.

He has over ten years of experience in the robotics, transportation, climate tech, and semiconductor industries. He joins us from Prime Movers Lab, a venture capital firm focused on funding breakthrough scientific startups, where he invested in several early-stage and growth opportunities.

Alessandro is an entrepreneur and was the founder and CEO of Semplus Corp., a pressure sensor display company in Palo Alto that he started when he was a researcher at Stanford University. He holds a BS and MS in Electronic Engineering from the Università di Pisa as well as a PhD in Innovative Tech of Information and Communications Engineering and Robotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the Italian Institute of Technology.

Alessandro is originally from Milan and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
